[Week 1/30] - Theme: Celebration
30 Week Project
Finally - I've picked up the courage and am determined to do a52 30 week project this year! (Edit 05/09/15: I have ended it at 30 weeks). I've always wanted to do one, but it is always a challenge with such big exams always on the horizon (like in less than two weeks time). This year isn't any different, but I actually came to realise that this is indeed my last full year as a student. In 2016 I graduate as a doctor. A real doctor. And while I'm extremely excited (and scared) and looking forward to that, I have no idea what awaits me once I graduate in June 2016; a year at medical school is more predictable, so in short - I'm making it happen knowing it may be difficult to keep up, but it may be my only chance. And of course, I love photography all too much and it is that one thing I know I can turn to for my sanity, enjoyment, and forever fun learning. So certainly a picture a week, if that's all I can do, is worth my time.

This photo is my own take on the theme Celebration. It's not what first comes to mind, but it certainly is a beautiful scene I was able to capture whereby these wonderful lions celebrated a moment of love.
Description
This was a beautiful moment to capture - it just unfolded right before my eyes in the short but fantastic opportunity I had to be in the vicinity of some of my favorite animals. Only moments before the male lion had been running around, while the mother was accompanied by some other females and her son. The other females moved away as he approached, making it clear they were his mate and child, and suddenly I was faced with this perfect scene. A moment of love.
