Thoughts and description I finally found one of these cute little bottles, after walking around half our capital city asking at different shops This was a souvenir bottle, which was conveniently broken at the top so that it could be opened (which is what I wanted ^^). I have something for bottled objects, which represent ideas and feelings...
With this photo, besides expressing my love for stars, I wanted the stars to symbolize ambitions, aspirations... dreams. I have so many things I wish to do in life, but many must remain stored in my heart, which is represented by the bottle, till I find time to do them (if ever). Right now I have other priorities, which although will get me what I also want in the near future, alone is not everything I want to do in life. Photography is one of those little (not so little actually) extras - it's become a piece of me which becomes more and more ingrained into my daily thoughts, habits, and has greatly affected my outlook on my surroundings and the world.
I hope you like it
[I'm also making my usually rather invisible watermark a bit more visible now - decided to do a search on Google earlier this week with a few of my images, and I found some of them placed on pages I never gave permission too, with no link back to my work, or esle converted into memes One on Facebook even covered up the watermarks with his own (and this page had plenty of others' works I recognized from dA too! Something should be done here so that we can all collectively report such pages to get them banned)].

Whenever asked I never know what to say Eeeh... I really just go along with whatever I feel like at that current moment in time - using all that's available in PS, till I get the desired effect and I'm happy with how it looks ^^
Haha well it's probably because there isn't a standard.
You just have to pick up a thing or two from tutorials you come across and try them out, observe the art of others and see what it is you like and dislike, discover some effects by practice and experimentation, and eventually you start to know what effect you want and know how to get it Trying it out yourself can tell and teach you much more than anyone else can... which is why when coming to explain it is rather impossible. It just happens
If you have PS, go into the photography section and play around with all the stuff there, try changing opacities and different blending modes of the various and you will see for yourself ^^
I often try, but never know how to begin with it. I don't understand/know anything about photography or editing. So it's safe to say, that trying out is a bit hard for me. Thanks for having time to respond. :>
I was once like that, don't you worry! But trying teaches you a lot. Start with adjusting exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, temperature and that sort of thing - those are the most basic settings. See what happens when you use them. Get the hang of that, and once you realize that there are some more tweaks you want to do that those tools are limiting you with (eg you want that red a little more vibrant, or you want the green a bit more yellowy), pick something new eg colour balance, and see what that lets you do, and play around till you're happy. And so on and so forth
I've edited thousands upon thousands of photos in the span of some years - but only over the last half a year or so it's become a little more elaborate
Of course, keep in mind though, that editing is not everything, and actual photographic composition is VERY important. To get this photo for example, I was sitting hunched on the floor, trying to keep a piece of foil up because the wind kept blowing it away, and getting the bottle just right in focus, with a plant shading it just enough to cover up the strong sunlight yet keep it well lit.
That's good to hear from someone like you. :> I guess I'll at least try to be more motivated from now on.
Wow - nice! Some perseverance you got there.
Yeah, I know. It's just very nice to have people talk about it in order to keep your creativity growing and you don't want to know how I looked while taking photos. xD You'd laugh yourself to death. ^^
Well - the good thing I guess was that I always enjoyed trying, and at a moment in time what I did made me happy, even though now I look back at older photos and laugh a little So really I got hooked without knowing or having to force myself
Enjoy the journey of photography, not reaching an end-point You want to look back through your photos and see how far you've come! I love doing that ^^
Mhm ^^ Oh I've done some crazy things for photos, like get on my knees to take pictures of kittens just footsteps away from my faculty at University, sat myself on a random pavement in my neighborhood to get photos of my Danbo (and had someone come talk to me - to tell me she saw a chameleon and though I would be interested - haha!), and even took pictures of kids while lying flat on my tummy on dusty gravel I'm sure I've been of entertainment myself too so ditto
great colors tone! Everything is right there in the photo. The only more thing is that you really need someone or something to open your heart... looks like you have lots of dreams, that's great! More dreams, more hope, more motivation in life. Say anything about your photo? I simply love it!
Well mine is in storage at present...and i'm looking for a second in command as my delightful assistant took off on a wild romance..so if you can give me a while, i'll get the old girl( my space ship that is)..polished and ready for a return trip to ZOG!!!
