Butterfly Kiss by Sarah-BK Butterfly Kiss by Sarah-BK
I've had this image in my head for too long - finally found the time to materialize it! :) I am SO happy with it - I've never got a photo out of my head as perfectly as this one.

It was a vague image at first for a long time, till I came across a butterfly stock photo which was awarded a DD last week - and then it just sharpened and became so clear - I just HAD to create it. Took the opportunity, as a mid-exam break, to make it. I hope you like it as much as I do

It reminds me of "silence of the lambs". But I think those were moths. :)

Just looked it up - don't blame you! Whoever designed it must have shared similar thoughts with me then ;) But yeah it's a moth in that case!

I get asked this all the time so I don't mind asking other people. What ethnicity are you?
Sarah-BK Jun 13, 2013  Hobbyist Photographer
Thank you! ^^

Hmm... I've never been asked that question before! Well lets say all the possible influences on my ethnicity are European, so I guess that makes me Caucasian.

From what I know about my family (my great grandparents and their parents), I've got influence from the Irish (which I proudly carry in my second surname), Germans, Italians, and I believe French too :) However my grandparents, parents and myself were all born in this country - Malta. I do carry traits which are not distinctively and more purely Maltese, like whiter skin, lighter hair and eyes. Not blonde and blue eyes though ;P
Oh! Cool. Your looks and dark makeup reminded me of the character Janis Ian from Mean Girls. From what little research I did it says she's Caucasian too. She plays a Lebanese character so I thought you may be Lebanese, only judging from this beautiful photo.

Oh :giggle: I tried looking her up, and the most she seems to resemble me is the fact her nose is very straight too ;P

Well it's always possible I have Lebanese influence. Our language is very influenced by Arabic (to the point some Arabics can actually understand us when we speak) meaning Arabs (and possibly Lebanese) must have been here for quite some time. Thing is, I don't know enough history to tell you where the Arabic population who lived here came from exactly.
I guess it's possible I have some Arabic influence somewhere along my family tree, and possibly Lebanese too :) Thank you for mentioning it - I might have never thought about this!
And thank you once again for the compliments
