Yesterday I got this awesome opportunity to take photos of (and hold) some awesome pet reptiles belonging to my sister's boyfriend. This is one of them - a gorgeous Python. (: Definitely a first of its kind for me!

It was quite a challenge since he moved around so much - albeit moving quite slowly, but very unpredictably (they can twist around in so many directions!) which made focusing properly and composing a shot much harder than you'd think. It was much fun though, and this is one of the shots I'm most proud of :meow:

My elbows and knees were super red by the end ^^; And I was filled with dry grass :la:

Awesome! I think it's safe to say that you really got the look you wanted. The lighting and focus is fabulous - I would've never known that it was hard to get a good shot. I love how the main part of the snake is really front and center, but the rest of his body drapes off to the side nicely. The fact that you got him with his tongue out is very cool. The blend of the foreground into the background gives a very nice 3-dimensional effect to the photo. The colors also blend seamlessly. All in all, fantastic job.
