"I wonder what it’s all about. Everything I know is wrong; everything I do, it just comes undone; and everything is torn apart." - Coldplay
Thoughts Life get's a little too confusing at times - I start to wonder about the things I know and how valid my thoughts are, what I'm doing here and what life is all about. I think about all I've learned and how much I know and remember...
Yeah I think a lot I guess...
Description This is a rose which just started to open on one of our few small rose plants - in the middle of winter! It was staring at me every time I passed by the garden door... coming out so bravely at such an awkward time. I need to be as confident as this rose sometimes...
I also need to get a macro lens so badly - I end up cropping so much of the photo to get it this size :/ Couldn't focus any closer..
Equipment Canon EOS 600D Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Post-processing in Adobe Photoshop CS5

I like the way how the pink contrasts the grey. It makes it draw attention, draw focus on it. Very interesting, I would say, is the title of this expressive artwork, it implicitly refers to the feminine zone that is the last and the most desired by men. In Freud's theories, the rose symbolizes the feminine sex; and in chromatic studies, the use of pink stresses femininity, pointing out that here (in this picture) it's the core, the most sensible zone, the desired object. The grey background may at some extent symbolize the female body. Wonderful job! Excellent, I may say. Keep going on with what are you doing. It seems the flowers are your high; and flowers are another symbol for femininity.
You did a good job on this photo by intensifying the color in the rose versus the background. The detail is sharp and the lighting is correct as well. Good job on both of those accounts. The one thing I will suggest is not to use a background fade of the same color of the main subject. Reason why is it makes the edges of the subject less sharp and almost in a way melt into the background. When you do a stand out photo you want to make sure the subject stands out. The rose is standing out but I think you could refine it just a little more. Keep up the good work and keep taking photos
