Thoughts and Description I very rarely convert my photos to gray-scale, being the colour lover I am. But something in this photo just required the levels and the contrasts to take over; colour somehow seemed a little distracting. A new beauty, and a new form of expression, came out from the lack of colour.
Recently did this experimental shoot with this beautiful girl and her brother - more photos of them will be uploaded to my Facebook page (due to the massive number of photos I wanna share) ^^

Your choice to filter the picture i think definately a good one. It adds an extra element to the piece that, when accompanied with the use proxemics and focus, really brings out a beauty that would have been otherwise missed. However, saying that, it also dulls the life to the piece that, for me at least, sort of gives a nostalgic or memory motif that is perhaps misplaced? and perhaps there aren't enough of the contrasting lighting that brings out those shadows in order to make a full justification to use them. However, saying that, it does really makes the image more crisp and it allows for the model to stand out and grab the audiences attention, engaging them from the moment they see it.
Over all an excellent job well done, a beautiful model, but perhaps the black and white filter is a bit mislpaced, or could perhaps have been limited? Either way, Good job.
